Premiere of the ballet in two acts La leyenda del agua grande, a co-production between Ballet Nacional de Cuba and Cooperativa Cultural Brasileña, choreographed by Eduardo Blanco, music by Miguel Núñez and written by José Ramón Neyra, The plot of this ballet is based on a Guaranímythology--the love between the warrior Tarobá and the beautiful Naipí who is to sacrificed to the monster Mbói Tu´i, who upon breaking a huge rock, made the Iguazú Falls flow. The main roles aredanced by Yanela Piñera, Amaya Rodríguez, Javier Torres, Yadil Suárez and Arián Molina, all young figures of the Ballet Nacional.
