Founded in the early 1970's, Moncada were, and are famous for their
committed revolutionary stance and message. They have played at all
the most important concerts on the island and have been particularly
popular with young people. Still going, and still fine musicians, they
are worth a look if only for their place in Cuban musical history.

Very good trova singer who is beginning to get a good reputation for
himself. he has shared the stage in Cuba with various trova greats such
as Silvio Rodriguez and Geraldo Alfonso and is presently presenting La
Tanda - a project which promotes trova music and musicians.

RAY FERNANDEZ
If intelligent singer-songwriters are your thing, make time for this
small but interesting gig. Equally at home with sweet love songs or
ones that deal more with the gritty reality of Cuban life, this is a
nice venue and Ray is a fine singer and writer. A good gig - and will
only cost you the equivilent of 60p to boot.
